How fast must I update the RBO when ownership changes?

Last updated: Oct 21, 2026, 17:46 (UTC+08:00)

Within 14 days of the change. That covers a new or departing beneficial owner and a change of name or address for an existing one. The update is filed on the RBO portal, and a company that misses it can be fined and prosecuted.

Ask OCC is an AI assistant, not a person. Answers are written by an AI model from Anthropic (Claude), using our published prices and facts, and it can make mistakes. Answers are general information, not legal or tax advice. Please do not share passport, bank or card details; we remove numbers that look like them. We store chats, with those numbers removed, for 30 days, or 24 months if you send us an enquiry.
