This summary helps you read the document. If it differs from the full text below, the full text applies.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains when One IBC Limited (Offshore Company Corp) refunds money paid for its services. It forms part of our Terms of service. It applies to orders paid by card, PayPal or bank wire and to renewal invoices, including services carried out by a performing company named in your order.
2. Words we use
"Service fee" means the part of the price that pays for our own professional work. "Government fees" means fees paid to a registry, court or public authority. "Third-party costs" means amounts paid to licensed local partners, registered agents, notaries, translators, apostille offices, couriers, payment providers and external identity verification or screening providers. "Deposit" means a refundable amount shown as a separate line in your order summary or invoice. Your order summary shows each of these as its own line.
"Business day" means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Hong Kong. A period stated in days means calendar days unless it says business days, and it starts on the day after the event that triggers it.
We "start work" on an order when we first do any of the following for it: review your KYC documents, run identity or screening checks, prepare incorporation or filing documents, check or reserve a company name, or instruct or pay a registry or other third party.
Other words defined in our Terms of service have the same meaning in this policy.
3. If we cannot incorporate your company
We refund the service fee, minus courier costs and third-party costs already paid, if all of the following apply:
- we are not able to incorporate the company you ordered;
- you gave us all the documents and information we asked for, complete, accurate and in the form we asked for; and
- the failure was not caused by false or misleading information, by sanctions, by a change in your instructions, by your failure to reply to our requests, or by your instruction to stop.
If a registry rejects a company name, we first offer to file with another name at no extra service fee. We treat a company as one we cannot incorporate only when the registry gives a final refusal, or when we tell you in writing that we cannot complete the incorporation. Government fees that have already been paid to the registry are not refunded (section 7).
4. If we decide not to act for you
You pay at checkout, before our identity and due diligence checks are complete. We do not file anything or pay government fees for you until we approve your KYC documents.
If we decide not to act for you after those checks, we refund what you paid, minus any third-party costs already paid for you. Where anti-money laundering or sanctions law requires us to hold, freeze or report funds, we must follow the law first, and we may only be able to return money to the account it came from.
We do not refund the service fee where we decline because the documents or information you gave us were false, forged or misleading.
5. If you do not send what we need
If you do not send the documents we need within 30 days after payment, we remind you. If we still do not have them 14 days after the reminder, we may cancel the order. We then refund what you paid, minus (a) a charge for the work already done, including identity and screening checks, calculated as the share of the service fee that the completed work represents and never more than the service fee, and (b) any third-party costs already paid for you.
If you prefer, you can ask us to keep the balance as a credit towards another service instead of a refund. We confirm the amount of the credit in writing. A credit expires 12 months after the date of that confirmation, unless we agree a longer period in writing. A credit is not cash: it earns no interest, cannot be transferred to another person and, unless the law requires otherwise, is not refunded after it expires.
6. If you change your mind
You can cancel an order by email within 3 calendar days after payment. If we have not started work, we refund what you paid, minus courier and third-party costs already paid.
After 3 calendar days, or once we have started work, you can still cancel by email. We then refund the part of the service fee that relates to work we have not yet done, minus third-party costs already paid for you. Fees for professional work already carried out are earned when the work is done and are not refunded. Services that have already been delivered, including documents and information delivered by email, cannot be refunded.
Sections 8 to 11 set special rules for renewals, account introductions, address services and deposits. Where one of them applies, it takes priority over this section.
7. Costs that cannot be refunded
Some money leaves our hands once work starts. Government fees and third-party costs that we have already paid for you cannot be refunded. For example:
- government and registry fees that have been paid;
- fees charged by licensed local partners, notaries, translators and apostille offices for work already done;
- courier costs for documents already sent;
- charges that a card scheme, PayPal or a bank does not return to us when a payment is refunded.
8. Renewals
If you tell us in writing before a renewal due date that you do not want to renew, we will not charge you for the next year. Once you have paid a renewal and we have filed it or paid the government fee, the renewal cannot be refunded.
9. Bank and payment account introductions
The bank or payment institution decides whether to open an account. Our fee pays for pre-screening, the introduction and help with the application, and it does not depend on the bank's decision.
You can cancel within 3 calendar days after payment. If we have not yet submitted an application or introduction for you, we refund the service fee, minus courier costs.
10. Virtual office and address services
For a 12-month plan bought for the first time, you can cancel within the first 30 days. We refund the fee, minus the first month and any set-up cost. Renewals of an address service are not refundable.
11. Deposits
Some packages and services include a refundable deposit, for example certain formation packages and the Singapore resident director service. The deposit is shown as a separate line in your order summary or invoice, which also explains when it is returned and what may be deducted from it. A deposit is returned to the payment method you used, or to the account it came from.
A deposit is not a fee. We may deduct from it any amount you owe us and any loss or cost the deposit was taken to cover, and we return the balance.
12. Your 14-day right to withdraw (EU, EEA and UK consumers)
If you are a consumer living in the EU, EEA or UK, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days after it is formed, without giving a reason. This right applies in addition to the rest of this policy and overrides it where they differ.
To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to customer.success@offshorecompanycorp.com, or by post to our head office at Unit 1411, 14/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, with your order number and the date you placed the order. You can use the model withdrawal form in section 13, but you do not have to. You only need to send it before the 14 days end. You do not need to log in to withdraw. If you do not have your order number, give us the email address you used for the order.
If you asked us to start work during the 14 days, you pay for the work done up to the time you told us, in proportion to the full service. This includes government fees and third-party costs we have already paid for you.
If we have fully performed the service during the 14 days, you can no longer withdraw. This only applies if you asked us to start and confirmed that you understood you would lose the right to withdraw.
We refund you within 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise. You do not pay any fee for the refund.
13. Model withdrawal form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

14. How to ask for a refund
Email customer.success@offshorecompanycorp.com, or write to us through the client portal, with your order or invoice number, the amount and the reason. Please send your request within 30 days after the event you rely on, for example our notice that we cannot incorporate your company. This time limit does not apply to rights the law gives you.
We acknowledge your request within 2 business days and give you our decision within 14 days, or within 30 days at the latest where we need information from a registry, bank or other third party. Where a refund is due, we send it within 14 days after our decision.
Our finance team checks the order, the work done and any costs paid. Each refund is approved by a manager authorised by One IBC Limited to approve refunds before we pay it. For EU, EEA and UK consumers who withdraw, the 14-day legal deadline applies.
15. How refunds are paid
We refund to the same payment method you used. Card and PayPal payments are refunded through the provider that took them. Wire payments are refunded by bank transfer to the account the money came from. We refund in US dollars, without interest, after deducting any amount you owe us. Your bank or PayPal may convert it, and exchange rates may differ from the day you paid.
Our refund confirmation shows that we have sent the refund. The time it takes to reach you depends on your bank, card issuer or PayPal, and can range from five business days to a full billing cycle.
16. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before you ask your bank or PayPal to reverse a payment. We can usually solve the problem faster.
If you open a dispute, we may pause work on the order while it is open, and we will give the card issuer or PayPal the order records, including your acceptance of our terms and the work done. A dispute does not affect your statutory rights.
17. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the law, including the right to a remedy if our service is not provided with reasonable care and skill.
