Do my documents need to be certified for a Samoa company?

Last updated: Oct 21, 2026, 17:46 (UTC+08:00)

The licensed trustee company normally asks for certified copies of each passport and address proof. A lawyer, notary or accountant can certify them. Samoa has applied the Apostille Convention since 1999, so company documents you later need abroad can usually be apostilled rather than legalised.

Ask OCC is an AI assistant, not a person. Answers are written by an AI model from Anthropic (Claude), using our published prices and facts, and it can make mistakes. Answers are general information, not legal or tax advice. Please do not share passport, bank or card details; we remove numbers that look like them. We store chats, with those numbers removed, for 30 days, or 24 months if you send us an enquiry.
